Testimonials

In their own words

It’s a real joy to be able to share some of the lovely comments which we receive from happy parents who trust us with their beautiful children every day.

“At first I was very reluctant to send my little girl off into the big bad world of daycare, but after ringing and speaking to Rachael she made me feel very at ease and encouraged me to visit the centre – where their holistic and environmental approach impressed me. We haven’t looked back! The girls at The Children’s Garden have always taken the time to make us feel part of the ‘family’ (even when we only attended 1 day a week!) and have happily answered many ‘worried parent’ calls from me during the first few weeks (and occasionally since!). I wouldn’t change a thing and love hearing the adventures they get up to at the end of each day – I am always amazed at the time and care that goes into the programming whilst still enabling each child to have autonomy and develop at their own rate!”

“Child care can be a tough option for parents, the decision about where to put your child when you can’t be with them? I know I agonised over it.  Then I visited The Children’s Garden and did a quiet fist pump in the air (I don’t think anyone saw me)!  What a delightful environment where children have the freedom to explore, get dirty, create, discover, learn, play and just be.  I leave my kids happy in the knowledge they are safe, happy and nurtured and then look forward to seeing the evidence on their faces and clothes about the fun they got up to at the end of the day!”

“We have been attending the Children’s Garden now for 6 years, all 3 of our children have loved going there and I have always felt confident and happy leaving them in the friendly care of the people who work there. It is homely and has a lovely feel to it, complete with a recycled back yard, plenty of animals including fish, rabbits, chickens and birds and plenty of home grown activities for the kids to take part in. They are allowed to paint and get dirty and move around freely within the ‘house’. Geri and Rachael have always been extra friendly and accommodating and as well as the other workers, take a genuine interest in the children and their families. We love going there and are really happy to be a part of The Children’s Garden.”

“Thank you for taking such good care of Poppy for the last few years.  She’s really, really enjoyed her time with you. I recommend you to anyone who is looking for an excellent childcare centre.  Poppy will miss getting down and dirty, Penny and Ponky, the chicken suit and of course your wonderful staff.  Although Poppy is ready to move on we will be really sad to say goodbye.  Take care and keep on doing what you do best!!”

“Both our children have attended the Children’s Garden for several years and we have loved the environment and ethos of the centre. The children have freedom to explore the rich environment provided – the backyard in particular is fantastic. A diverse programme of activities is provided. I can’t praise the staff highly enough.”

“I often describe The Children’s Garden as ‘free range kids’.
They learn and explore through play and they love it!”

“My daughter loves The Children’s Garden – she enjoys all the opportunities for messy play and has made lots of little friends. I love it because the children have so much choice of activity including whether they are inside or outside. She is often messy but always playing happily when I pick her up”

“The Children’s Garden is such a wonderful daycare centre and our 2-year old son thrives there. He always comes home dirty and happy, having spent the day playing outside doing the activities that interest him.  The staff are gentle and loving and he is very comfortable with them.  The Children’s Garden has been very accommodating of his special dietary requirements and are always happy to work with us through his food issues.  I can’t recommend them highly enough.”
